Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

BlurGuard is a Windows desktop app that finds and blurs sensitive information (like card numbers, passwords, emails and addresses) in screenshots, images, videos and YouTube live streams. This policy explains what data BlurGuard uses, why, and the choices you have. Questions: wallacegodfirst@gmail.com.

1. Processing stays on your PC

Detection and blurring run locally on your computer. Your screenshots, images and videos are not uploaded to us for processing, and your library is stored only on your PC. If you choose to go live on YouTube, the already-blurred broadcast is sent directly from your PC to YouTube.

2. Google sign-in and YouTube data

When you sign in with Google, BlurGuard requests these permissions:

  • Basic profile (openid, email, profile) — your name, email address and profile picture, used to sign you in and show your account in the app.
  • youtube.readonly — read your channel’s name, picture and basic details so the app can show which channel you are connected to and check live-stream status.
  • youtube (manage your YouTube account) — only used when you choose to go live: to create a live broadcast and stream on your channel, bind them together, and check the stream’s status.

BlurGuard does not upload, delete or edit your existing videos, comments, playlists or subscriptions, and does not read your private viewing data. YouTube data is used only to provide the live-streaming feature you asked for.

3. Where your Google tokens are stored

Google access and refresh tokens are stored only on your PC, encrypted with Windows’ built-in data protection. They are sent only to Google’s servers. We do not store your Google or YouTube data on our own servers.

4. Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use)

BlurGuard’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide the feature you use or as required by law, and do not allow humans to read it unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security, or the law requires it. Google user data is not used to train AI models.

5. YouTube

BlurGuard uses YouTube API Services. By using the YouTube features you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Email sign-in codes

If you sign in with your email, BlurGuard sends a one-time code to that address using our email provider, Resend. Only your email address and the code are sent, to deliver the message.

7. Purchases and payments

When you request a paid plan, BlurGuard sends a purchase request to our database provider, Supabase, containing your email address, the plan and billing cycle you picked, and a BG- reference code so we can match your payment. If you pay with Cash App, the payment goes to $BlurGuard and Cash App (Block, Inc.) processes it under its own privacy policy; we see the details Cash App shows us (such as the amount, sender name and note) to activate your plan. If you pay with Zelle, the payment goes to Wallacegodfirst@gmail.com through your bank and Zelle (Early Warning Services, LLC), under their own privacy policies; we see what the bank shows us (amount, sender name and memo) to activate your plan. We never receive your card or bank numbers.

7b. Buying on this website

If you buy a plan on this website, we create the same purchase request as the app: your account email, the plan, billing cycle and price, the Cash App name or Zelle sender name you paid from (and which method you used), the time, and a BG- reference. It is stored with Supabase. A random secret for checking the request’s status is kept only in your browser; we store just its hash. Wallace reviews requests in BlurGuard Admin, and an approved request includes a signed unlock code. Your browser keeps a list of your website purchases (reference, plan, status and unlock code) so you can see them in your account.

8. We don’t sell or share your data

We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers or data brokers. Data is shared only with the service providers above, only to run the feature you use.

9. How to revoke access

You can disconnect YouTube or sign out inside BlurGuard at any time, which deletes the stored tokens from your PC. You can also remove BlurGuard’s access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

10. Data retention and deletion

Your library, settings and tokens stay on your PC until you delete them or uninstall BlurGuard. To delete your purchase records or any other data we hold about you, email wallacegodfirst@gmail.com from your account email and we will delete it within 30 days, except what we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.

11. This website and website sign-in

This website stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser. It has no ads, analytics or tracking scripts.

If you sign in on this website, sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Supabase Auth. With Continue with Google we receive only your basic profile (name, email address and profile picture); the website does not request YouTube access. If you create an account with an email and password, your password is handled by Supabase Auth: it is stored only as a salted hash and we can never see it. Supabase emails you a link to confirm your address and, if you ask, a password-reset link. (Email code sign-in, coming soon, will send a one-time 6-digit code through Resend.) Supabase stores your account record (email, sign-in method and sign-in times) so you can sign in again, and your browser keeps a sign-in session in local storage until you sign out. Website sign-in data is used only to run your account, is never sold, and can be deleted by emailing wallacegodfirst@gmail.com.

12. Children

BlurGuard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

13. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and post the new version on this page.
