FOUR STEPS TO YOUR FIRST CAPTURE

Get started on Windows.

  1. Download BlurGuard

    Save the installer from the Windows card above. Compare its SHA-256 with Get-FileHash .\BlurGuard-Setup-1.2.33.exe -Algorithm SHA256 in PowerShell.

  2. Run the installer

    Open the downloaded file and follow the installation prompts. BlurGuard is new, so Windows SmartScreen may show “Windows protected your PC”. Click More info, then Run anyway.

  3. Sign in with Google

    Open BlurGuard and sign in. You can also use your email and password. Processing works offline after sign-in.

  4. Press Ctrl+Alt+B

    Take your first protected screenshot. Review the result before saving or sharing. Change your shortcut in Settings → Hotkeys.

Bought a plan on the website?

After your Cash App payment is verified and approved, you’ll get an unlock code. In the app, open Plans & Billing, find Have an unlock code?, paste the code and click unlock. Use the same email you bought with.

Two small things to know

Going live: the streaming component downloads once on your first “Go live” (about 115 MB). YouTube streaming is included on Starter and higher plans.

Fully quit: open the Windows system tray, right-click the BlurGuard icon and select Quit BlurGuard.
